The high prevalence of chronic and relapsing skin diseases poses a major challenge to global public health. Drawing on extensive preclinical research experience with dermatological therapeutics, JOINN has established disease models for skin injuries including cutaneous wound healing and burn injury, enabling pharmacodynamic evaluation for small molecule drugs, antibodies, vaccines and nucleic acid therapeutics.
